Custom Glass Railing Solutions
Mission Viejo’s housing stock spans the 1980s through early 2000s. Dual-pane seal failures are the most common window call we get from this area. Here are the window glass services we handle throughout Mission Viejo:
Frameless Shower Doors in Newport Beach
Frameless shower doors in Newport Beach are typically specified in 1/2-inch tempered glass for larger panels and premium rigidity. Marine-grade stainless steel hardware is standard for all Newport Beach coastal installations — salt air from the bay and ocean corrodes standard hardware fittings within a few years. Low-iron glass is available for Newport Beach master bathrooms with marble, white stone or light-coloured tile surrounds — it removes the green tint from standard glass and gives a crystal-clear appearance that does not colour-cast the tile behind it.
Steam Shower Enclosures in Newport Beach
Steam shower enclosures are a popular upgrade in Newport Beach master suite remodels — particularly in Newport Coast and Bonita Canyon estate homes. A fully sealed glass enclosure is required: sealed at the floor threshold, sealed at the header and with a door sweep that closes the gap at the bottom of the door when shut. We fabricate and install the complete glass enclosure. The steam generator is installed by your plumber separately. We assess the specific shower space and ceiling height during the free estimate to confirm the enclosure design.
Sliding Barn Door Showers in Newport Beach
Barn door shower systems in Newport Beach luxury bathrooms are specified with 1/2-inch glass and premium hardware — brushed gold, unlacquered brass or matte black track systems are popular in Newport Coast and Corona del Mar remodels. The glass panel slides on a top-mounted track and stays flat against the wall when open. A barn door is a practical solution when the shower opening is wide and swing clearance is limited by the vanity or freestanding tub position in the bathroom layout.
Neo-Angle & Custom Enclosures in Newport Beach
Custom multi-panel frameless enclosures — neo-angle corner configurations, L-shaped walk-in panels with fixed sides, and fully custom shapes — are common in Newport Beach master bathrooms where the shower space is not a standard rectangle. We design and fabricate every enclosure to exact bathroom dimensions in our Laguna Hills shop. Low-iron glass and marine-grade hardware are standard on all Newport Beach custom enclosure projects.

Frequently Asked Questions — Shower Doors in Newport Beach, CA
How much do frameless shower doors cost in Newport Beach, CA?
Frameless shower doors in Newport Beach typically run $900–$2,500+ installed. Premium Newport Beach installations with 1/2-inch glass, marine-grade hardware and low-iron glass will be at the higher end of that range. Steam enclosures and custom multi-panel configurations add further to the cost. We provide free on-site estimates with written quotes — no charge and no obligation.
How long does shower door installation take in Newport Beach?
Most Newport Beach shower door installations are complete within 5–10 business days from your first call — covering our measurement visit, glass fabrication in our Laguna Hills shop and the installation appointment. The installation itself takes 2–4 hours. Steam enclosures and custom multi-panel jobs may require a longer fabrication window — we confirm the timeline in your written quote.
Does salt air in Newport Beach affect frameless shower door hardware?
Yes. Standard brass, chrome and even grade-304 stainless steel hardware can corrode, pit and seize in a coastal salt-air environment. Newport Beach properties near the bay or ocean benefit from marine-grade hardware — we use corrosion-resistant alloys and protective finishes on hinge pins, handles and wall mounts for all Newport Beach shower door installations. If you are within a mile of the coast, marine-grade hardware is the correct specification, not an optional upgrade.
What is low-iron glass for a shower door and why use it in Newport Beach?
Standard tempered glass has a slight green tint from iron content in the base glass — visible at the edges and through the panel. Low-iron glass (also called Starphire or ultra-clear) removes this tint, giving a completely colourless appearance. In Newport Beach luxury bathrooms with marble, white Carrara stone or light-coloured premium tile, standard glass creates an unwanted green colour cast on the tile behind it. Low-iron glass eliminates that effect entirely. We recommend it for any Newport Beach bathroom where the tile investment warrants the upgrade.
Can you install a steam shower enclosure in a Newport Beach bayfront or coastal home?
Yes. Steam shower enclosures are a specialist installation we handle throughout Newport Beach. A fully sealed frameless glass enclosure is required — sealed at the floor, header and door gap. For coastal Newport Beach properties, all hardware is marine-grade stainless. We assess the specific shower space, ceiling height and waterproofing conditions during the free estimate before fabricating the enclosure.
