Shower Doors in Lake Forest, CA
Looking for a shower door company in Lake Forest, CA? Ace Mirror & Glass installs custom frameless, semi-frameless and sliding shower doors throughout Lake Forest and all of South Orange County. Lake Forest’s mix of older Foothill Ranch homes and newer Baker Ranch builds gives us two active shower door markets — full enclosure replacements in established bathrooms and first-time frameless upgrades in newer homes still running builder-grade sliding doors.
We serve all of Mission Viejo including Pacific Hills, Olympiad, Casta del Sol, Montiel and Mission Viejo Ranch. Free estimates, no trip fees, and our own licensed installers on every job
Custom Glass Railing Solutions
Mission Viejo’s housing stock spans the 1980s through early 2000s. Dual-pane seal failures are the most common window call we get from this area. Here are the window glass services we handle throughout Mission Viejo:
Frameless Shower Doors in Lake Forest
Frameless shower doors are our most popular upgrade in Lake Forest. 3/8" or 1/2" tempered glass with stainless steel or brass hardware — no metal frame around the perimeter. We measure, fabricate and install every door in our Laguna Hills shop to your exact opening size. Baker Ranch homes with newer tile surrounds are prime candidates for frameless upgrades; Foothill Ranch and Serrano homes replacing 1990s framed or sliding doors benefit most from the open look and easy cleaning.
Tub & Bathtub Enclosures in Lake Forest
Frameless or semi-frameless enclosures for bathtubs are a common request in Lake Forest family bathrooms where kids use the tub daily. We install bypass sliding systems, frameless hinged doors and fixed panel splash screens for standard tub openings. All glass is tempered safety glass. Semi-frameless bypass doors are the most practical choice for high-traffic Lake Forest family bathrooms — they slide rather than swing and do not require clearance in front of the tub.
Sliding Barn Door Showers in Lake Forest
Barn door shower systems are popular in Lake Forest bathrooms with limited swing clearance — a common problem in older Foothill Ranch floor plans where the toilet is close to the shower opening. The glass panel slides on a top-mounted track with no floor rail needed. Available in clear, frosted or rain-texture glass. Hardware comes in matte black, brushed nickel, brushed gold and chrome to match existing bathroom fixtures.
Semi-Frameless & Custom Enclosures in Lake Forest
Semi-frameless shower enclosures are a popular option in Lake Forest bathrooms where the tile surround is in good condition but the original framed sliding door has aged out. The fixed panels use a minimal aluminium channel; the door itself swings freely without a frame. We also install neo-angle corner enclosures, walk-in splash panels and custom multi-panel configurations for non-standard Lake Forest bathroom layouts.

Frequently Asked Questions — Shower Doors in Lake Forest, CA
How much do shower doors cost in Lake Forest, CA?
Frameless shower doors in Lake Forest typically run $900–$2,500+ installed, depending on opening size, glass thickness and hardware finish. Semi-frameless enclosures run $700–$1,500. Framed and tub bypass sliding doors start around $400–$900. We provide free on-site estimates with written quotes for all Lake Forest shower door projects — no charge and no obligation.
How long does shower door installation take in Lake Forest?
Most Lake Forest shower door installations are complete within 5–10 business days from your first call — that covers our measurement visit, glass fabrication at our Laguna Hills shop and the installation appointment. The install itself takes 2–4 hours. We confirm the exact timeline in your written quote.
What is the best shower door option for a bathtub in a Lake Forest family bathroom?
A semi-frameless bypass sliding door is the most practical choice for a family bathroom tub in Lake Forest. It slides rather than swings — important when space in front of the tub is limited — and the frameless glass on the door panel is far easier to clean than the track systems on standard framed sliding doors. Frameless hinged doors are an option on tubs with enough clearance for a swing door.
Do I need to remove tiles to install a frameless shower door in Lake Forest?
No. In most Lake Forest bathrooms, frameless shower doors are installed by drilling into the existing tile to anchor the wall mount and hinge hardware. No tile removal is needed. We use core bits sized for tile and pre-drill a pilot hole to prevent cracking. If your tile is particularly fragile or a historic material, we assess the surface during the free estimate and advise on the best anchor method before any drilling begins.
What hardware finishes are available for frameless shower doors in Lake Forest?
We carry frameless shower door hardware in brushed nickel, polished chrome, matte black, oil-rubbed bronze and brushed gold (champagne bronze). The most popular current choice in Lake Forest bathrooms is brushed nickel for a neutral, timeless look — but matte black and mixed-metal combinations have grown significantly in Baker Ranch and newer builds. We confirm hardware availability for your chosen finish during the free estimate.
